Risk is present at the borders with Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar (Burma). Very low risk in all other areas including Chaing Mai, Chaing Rai, Bangkok, Ko Chang island, and Phuket, as well as tourist trips to Kwai Bridge.
Resistance to Lariam is present on the borders with Cambodia and Myanmar, leaving either Doxycycline or Malarone as the recommended antimalarials.
